00:00:01Captain's Log, Stardate 46235.7.
00:00:05Ensign Ro, Keiko O'Brien, Guinan, and I are
00:00:08returning to the Enterprise after a fascinating visit
00:00:11to the planet Marlonia.
00:00:13And these pieces I found on the tertiary level of the dig.
00:00:16They're typical of second-century
00:00:18Marlonian cookware.
00:00:19Look at those markings.
00:00:21They're very similar to early Taguan designs, but the patterns are more intricate.
00:00:26They're much closer to Buranian than Taguan.
00:00:29You're on the most beautiful planet in the quadrant, and you spent your entire shore leave in a cave?
00:00:35It was a very rewarding experience.
00:00:38Look at these fragments.
00:00:40They're very nearly in perfect condition, and yet they're 700 years old.
00:00:45So's my father.
00:00:48Is that a draebidium froctus?
00:00:51Um... actually, it's a draebidium calimus.
00:00:53You can tell by the shape of the leaves.
00:00:55I didn't know you were interested in plant biology.
00:00:58I... took a class at the academy.
00:01:01I don't remember very much, though.
00:01:03WORF: Enterprise to Shuttlecraft Fermi.
00:01:05This is the Fermi. Go ahead, Enterprise.
00:01:07We have just received a distress signal from the Starfleet science team on Ligos VII.
00:01:12Can you identify the problem?
00:01:14No, sir-- the call was cut off in mid-transmission.
00:01:17Lay in a course, and prepare to engage at warp eight as soon as we're on board. Aye, sir.
00:01:22We'll rendezvous with the ship in three minutes, sir.
00:01:31RO: we're caught in some sort of energy field.
00:01:33Hard about. Full impulse. Aye, sir.
00:01:40What's happening, Mr. Worf?
00:01:41The shuttle has been enveloped by an energy field.
00:01:43Its engines and life support have failed.
00:01:46Increase to full impulse.
00:01:47Bridge to Transporter Room Three.
00:01:49Prepare to beam the shuttle crew back once we're in range.
00:01:52O'BRIEN: Ready, sir.
00:01:53I can't contact the Enterprise.
00:01:55There's too much interference.
00:01:57Transfer auxiliary power to inertial dampers.
00:01:59COMPUTER: Warning, structural failure imminent.
00:02:07Have you got them, O'Brien?
00:02:08I'm trying, sir.
00:02:10I can't get a pattern lock.
00:02:11The shuttle is coming apart, Chief.
00:02:13We've got to do it now.
00:02:16I've got them.
00:02:18There's a 40% drop in mass.
00:02:20I may have lost one of them.
00:02:30Thank you, Mr. O'Brien.
00:02:32Another moment and...
00:03:10Space, the final frontier.
00:03:15These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise.
00:03:19Its continuing mission--
00:03:20to explore strange new worlds,
00:03:24to seek out new life and new civilizations,
00:03:29to boldly go where no one has gone before.
00:04:47According to the bio-scans, their DNA structure is now consistent with those of preadolescents.
00:04:53But as far as we can tell, only their bodies were changed.
00:04:57Their individual intelligence and their behavioral responses are exactly the same as they were before the accident.
00:05:03What happened to the shuttlecraft, Number One?
00:05:08The shuttle broke up just after we beamed you out.
00:05:10Mr. Data is coordinating the salvage efforts right now... sir.
00:05:16What about the energy field that the shuttle passed through?
00:05:19We're trying to scan it, but we're running into a lot of interference-- it's going to take some time.
00:05:23PICARD: Well, we can't afford to stay here any longer.
00:05:25We'll leave a class-4 probe behind to study the energy field, but the distress signal from Ligos VII has top priority.
00:05:31Let me know as soon as you have any further information, Doctor.
00:05:34Number One, you're with me.
00:05:37Captain, I... need to run some additional tests.
00:05:41Of course, the three of you will remain as needed to assist Dr. Crusher.
00:05:50( sighs )
00:05:59What?
00:06:00You know, you make a pretty cute kid.
00:06:03Great, just what I want to be-- cute.
00:06:06Were you this much fun when you were a kid?
00:06:09I was in a refugee camp.
00:06:11"Fun" wasn't exactly in my vocabulary.
00:06:15What about now?
00:06:17You're not in that camp anymore.
00:06:18Fun is being back at work in my own uniform.
00:06:28Bridge.
00:06:40Mr. Worf, prepare to launch a class-4 probe to study the energy field.
00:06:54I realize how unusual this must seem.
00:06:56My appearance is the result of an accident involving myself and three other crew members, the effects of which Dr. Crusher is currently working to remedy.
00:07:05I assure you, I am captain Picard.
00:07:14The probe, aye, sir.
00:07:19Mr. Data, have you secured all of the shuttle debris?
00:07:22Almost. It is being stored in Shuttle Bay Two... sir.
00:07:27Very well.
00:07:29Ensign, as soon as Mr. Data is finished, take us to Ligos at warp eight.
00:07:34Captain, may I see you privately for a few moments?
00:07:38Of course.
00:07:48Tea, earl grey, hot.
00:07:57Have you been able to determine the cause of our transformation?
00:08:00Not yet. I'm still waiting for some test results.
00:08:03I see.
00:08:07There are 103 members of the science team on Ligos VII.
00:08:12We should prepare Shuttle Bay Three for a triage center in case they have large numbers of casualties.
00:08:17We'll be ready.
00:08:18I see that Ligos VII is prone to periodic volcanic activity.
00:08:22Perhaps the planet has entered an active phase.
00:08:25Jean-Luc?
00:08:27We need to talk.
00:08:29All right, let's talk.
00:08:32Are you here to relieve me of duty?
00:08:35I'd rather not have to take that step.
00:08:38I am still Jean-Luc Picard.
00:08:40My judgment, my experiences, my mental capacities are all intact.
00:08:44That's true... for now.
00:08:48But this could be the first stage of a condition that may begin to affect your mind, as well.
00:08:58But you see no evidence of that.
00:09:01Not yet.
00:09:08What I do know is that the captain of this ship has undergone an extreme physical transformation, the ultimate effects of which
00:09:15I can't even begin to guess.
00:09:19You are asking me to step down.
00:09:25You are still Jean-Luc Picard.
00:09:28What do you think you should do?
00:09:42Commander Riker, please take command of the ship until further notice.
00:09:46Understood.
00:10:00So, what the hell am I supposed to do now?
00:10:02You're not supposed to do anything.
00:10:05That's what "relieved of duty" means.
00:10:07Well, I should be doing something instead of just standing around, waiting for them to find a cure.
00:10:12You're right. Let's go play.
00:10:14What?
00:10:15I haven't been young for a long time, and I intend to enjoy every minute of it.
00:10:22Fine, enjoy yourself.
00:10:27What are you going to do?
00:10:28Go back to your room and pout?
00:10:31I am not 12 years old.
00:10:34If I wanna go to my quarters and contemplate my situation, that does not mean that I am "pouting."
00:10:42Okay, okay.
00:11:29I could use a... cup of coffee.
00:11:33How about you?
00:11:34I'll get it.
00:11:38Two coffees, one with cream and sugar.
00:11:41The other one... Black, double sweet.
00:11:42I know.
00:11:43One double sweet.
00:11:53Careful, that's hot.
00:11:54Miles...
00:11:57Sorry.
00:12:16What's wrong?
00:12:17It's... I don't know, but this feels wrong somehow.
00:12:22Miles Edward O'Brien, I am still your wife!
00:12:26Well, technically, yes.
00:12:27Technically?
00:12:29No, I mean, of course you're my wife, but you're also ten years old.
00:12:34Beverly said it's actually closer to 12.
00:12:37Now, that's not the point.
00:12:38So, what is the point?
00:12:41Is our marriage over?
00:12:43I didn't say that, but... well, until they find a way to reverse this... this effect... it's hard for me to ignore the fact that you're a little girl.
00:12:55What if they can't find a way?
00:12:58What if I'm like this for the rest of my life?
00:13:01What does that mean for us?
00:13:04For our family?
00:13:06MOLLY: Mommy?
00:13:09Mommy?
00:13:16What's wrong, sweetheart?
00:13:18I want Mommy to read me a story.
00:13:23All right.
00:13:24What story would you like to hear?
00:13:25Not you. I want Mommy!
00:13:34What if Daddy reads you a story tonight?
00:13:36Will that be okay?
00:13:39I'll be right back.
00:13:47Keiko.
00:13:52It's going to be all right.
00:13:54I promise.
00:13:57We'll work this out.
00:13:59How?
00:14:01I don't know.
00:14:10First Officer's Log, supplemental.
00:14:12The Enterprise has reached the Ligos system.
00:14:15We have begun to search for the missing
00:14:16Federation science team.
00:14:18Dr. Crusher reports no progress
00:14:20on a cure for the members of the shuttle crew.
00:14:41( door chimes )
00:14:42Come.
00:14:46I came to see how you're doing.
00:14:49Well, I'll have to speak to my tailor, but otherwise I'm well, thank you.
00:14:55( sighs ) it's just so ridiculous.
00:14:58I can't take myself seriously like this.
00:15:04Counselor... if Dr. Crusher can't find a cure-- if I have to stay this way-- nobody's going to take me seriously, are they?
00:15:12I would say the people that know you and have worked with you will be able to make the adjustment eventually.
00:15:20But there are some people who would find it difficult to accept a 12-year-old captain.
00:15:25In that case, I suppose I'll just have to wait until I grow up again before I get another command, which might be in ten, maybe 15 years.
00:15:34The question is, what to do until then.
00:15:36You're still a Starfleet captain.
00:15:38I'm sure there are other assignments you could be given in the interim.
00:15:41I've spent 30 years of my life aboard starships.
00:15:44I'm not about to sit behind a desk now.
00:15:46You could return to the academy, take another degree-- brush up on your Latin.
00:15:50And be Wesley Crusher's roommate.
00:15:57I will admit that returning to the Academy does have a certain appeal, but I've spent my life looking forward.
00:16:04Going to the Academy again feels like looking backward.
00:16:08Then perhaps you could spend the time exploring other interests.
00:16:15Archaeology, for instance.
00:16:17Leave Starfleet?
00:16:18Not permanently. Just a sabbatical.
00:16:21You could spend a few years crawling through caves and digging up artifacts and still have enough time to become the youngest admiral in Starfleet history.
00:16:29It would give me a chance to take up Dr. Langford's offer and accompany her to the ruins on Suvin IV.
00:16:36But to leave the Enterprise...
00:16:38In a way, you're very lucky.
00:16:41You might have a chance to do what most people can only dream about.
00:16:51Have a second childhood without the pain of growing up again.
00:17:02This is captain Picard's rybo-viroxic-nucleic structure from a tissue sample I took this morning.
00:17:08It's the same as a sample I took before the accident, except it's missing several of the key viroxic sequences.
00:17:15It's been a long time since I took genetics, Doctor.
00:17:19RVN is one of the key factors in our development during puberty.
00:17:23Unlike DNA, which never changes,
00:17:25RVN takes on some additional viroxic sequences during adolescence.
00:17:30Those sequences determine how we develop physically.
00:17:33Without them, we wouldn't mature into adults.
00:17:35Exactly.
00:17:36Now somehow, those sequences were eliminated in the captain and the others during transport.
00:17:41So, what do we do?
00:17:43Well, we have a couple of options.
00:17:47These are the plants
00:17:49Keiko was carrying in the shuttle.
00:17:51Whatever turned the crew into children turned these plants into seedlings.
00:17:55I accelerated the growth on one of them, and it developed into a perfectly normal adult plant.
00:18:01I don't suppose that would work with people?
00:18:03No, but at least we know that if we do nothing at all, they will probably grow up just as they did before.
00:18:11That's one option.
00:18:13However, I do have the adult RVN patterns of all four of them.
00:18:18I might be able to send them back through the transporter pattern buffer and replace the missing sequences.
00:18:24No, but we can't even attempt to do that until we know why this happened in the first place.
00:18:29If somehow they were to lose more viroxic sequences...
00:18:36They would get even younger.
00:18:54Chief, I got the sensor report on the shuttle breakup.
00:18:58Looks like the breakup began near the starboard bulkhead.
00:19:01There's some bulkhead fragments over here.
00:19:07Hmm.
00:19:09Well, my visor's picking up some... torsional stress damage, some micro-fractures...
00:19:16Hang on a second.
00:19:20What's this?
00:19:21Looks like tritanium from the hull.
00:19:24Yeah, but look.
00:19:28That's not tritanium anymore.
00:19:30Somehow the molecular structure of this alloy has been changed.
00:19:32Broken down into its constituent elements.
00:19:36Ah, no wonder the bulkhead shattered, huh?
00:19:38Yeah, I want to get a sample of this down to engineering and run a metallurgical analysis.
00:19:51( sighs )
00:19:58Well, this is exciting.
00:20:00Would you rather be playing with dolls?
00:20:03I'd rather be doing almost anything other than sitting here and watching you sulk.
00:20:09This isn't some kind of glorious second childhood, Guinan.
00:20:13Our bodies have been violated-- changed.
00:20:17Doesn't that bother you?
00:20:19Sure, it bothers me, but at the moment
00:20:22I can't do anything about it, so I might as well enjoy it.
00:20:26Enjoy what?
00:20:28Where did you get the idea that being short and awkward is some kind of wonderful gift?
00:20:33There must have been some part of childhood that you didn't loathe.
00:20:37Look, it was a long, depressing period of my life, and I was grateful when it was finally over.
00:20:44I'd rather not relive it.
00:20:47I bet you were a jumper.
00:20:50A jumper, you know.
00:20:52Someone who jumps up and down on furniture all the time.
00:20:55What?
00:20:56You were a jumper, all right.
00:20:58The quiet ones-- they always look so innocent.
00:21:03You think you can turn your back on them.
00:21:06Next thing you know, bam!
00:21:09They're bouncing on the bed.
00:21:12That is the most ridiculous thing
00:21:14I've ever heard.
00:21:16Most of the time, I didn't even have a bed.
00:21:18But you did have one sometimes, and I bet you jumped on it.
00:21:22I most certainly did not.
00:21:25Yeah, I can see it in your eyes.
00:21:27You can barely resist the urge to leap up and start jumping around like a Tarkassian razorbeast.
00:21:33Guinan.
00:21:34Oh, yeah-- oh, yeah.
00:21:39This is ridiculous!
00:21:41That's right, and don't you dare join me, Ro Laren.
00:21:45You don't like jumping on beds.
00:21:48Oh, yeah?
00:21:49I can jump higher!
00:21:51( laughing )
00:21:53We think the shuttle was caught in a molecular reversion field, which caused the structure of the ship to deteriorate.
00:21:58When the field penetrated the hull, it also began to affect the shuttle's crew.
00:22:02When I tried to beam them off,
00:22:03I wasn't able to get a lock because the reversion field was masking part of the patterns.
00:22:07If the transporter only registered part of the RVN patterns, that would explain why the key sequences are missing.
00:22:14Exactly. With those key sequences missing, the transporter reconstructed them as children.
00:22:19If they're right, would you be able to use the transporter to reverse the effects?
00:22:22I think so.
00:22:23As long as there's no reversion field to mask their patterns, we should be able to do it.
00:22:28Chief, can you adjust the molecular imaging scanners to accept...?
00:22:31WORF: Bridge to Commander Riker.
00:22:33Go ahead. We are entering orbit around Ligos VII, sir.
00:22:36On my way. We'll discuss this later.
00:22:38( sighs )
00:22:52Standard orbit, Ensign.
00:22:55Any sign of the science team?
00:22:57We've been scanning the area since we entered the system, but our readings are being disrupted.
00:23:01Cause?
00:23:02Extreme fluctuations in the electromagnetic field.
00:23:05However, there is no evidence of stellar or seismic activity which would cause the interference.
00:23:10Any response to our hails, Mr. Worf?
00:23:12No, sir. I've been attempting to...
00:23:15( console beeping )
00:23:17Commander, two ships de-cloaking, fore and aft.
00:23:20Klingon Birds-of-Prey-- B'rel-class.
00:23:31RIKER: Maximum shields!
00:23:32Take us out of orbit, Ensign.
00:23:34Mr. Worf, prepare to return fire.
00:23:36( alarm wailing )
00:23:53Damage report.
00:23:55We have lost primary life support.
00:23:56Switching to secondary systems.
00:23:58Lock phasers on target. Bearing to port.
00:24:00Phasers locked.
00:24:02Fire.
00:24:06Minor damage to one ship.
00:24:08Its shields are holding.
00:24:09Starboard power coupling is down.
00:24:11Warp engines are offline.
00:24:13Shields?
00:24:15Down to 13%.
00:24:21Casualties reported on Deck 26 and 27.
00:24:24Sensors and secondary generators are offline.
00:24:27Life support down to 67%.
00:24:29Engineering, status report.
00:24:33Those last shots took out auxiliary power and emergency backup.
00:24:36It's going to take at least an hour to get warp power back online.
00:24:39We have lost shields, heavy casualties on Decks 35 through 40.
00:24:43I am detecting transporter signatures in three cargo bays.
00:24:48We are being boarded, sir.
00:24:56Come with me.
00:25:01Initiate intruder alert.
00:25:02All security teams report to...
00:25:08Put down your weapons.
00:25:17Computer, deactivate all command functions.
00:25:20Authorization: Riker omega three.
00:25:22All command functions suspended.
00:25:28This is Morta, we have secured the bridge.
00:25:31Begin transporting all able-bodied adults to the surface.
00:25:44Come on! Get up there.
00:25:45Come on!
00:25:57They have locked out the command functions.
00:25:59You said they would not have time.
00:26:02You led the assault team.
00:26:04You were too slow.
00:26:05You dare to blame me?
00:26:14We have secured the ship, Daimon, but Morta's incompetence has denied us access to the...
00:26:18My incompetence?! Daimon, you know...
00:26:20Enough.
00:26:23Where is the captain of this ship?
00:26:25I'm in command of this vessel.
00:26:28Who are you, and on whose authority do...?
00:26:30I am Daimon Lurin, and I declare this ship to be a loss and open to claim according to the Ferengi salvage code.
00:26:39You will cooperate with our salvage operations, or we will begin... executing your crew.
00:27:10Is everyone all right?
00:27:11No fatalities or injuries among the children.
00:27:14The Ferengi have taken control of Main Engineering and Decks 23 through 37.
00:27:18Well, we have to also assume that they've taken the bridge.
00:27:20Captain, do you know what they've done with the younger children-- with my little girl?
00:27:25Well, they're taking all the adults down to the surface.
00:27:28Looks like they're keeping all the children on board the ship-- where was your daughter?
00:27:31In primary care on Deck 14.
00:27:34She's probably still there with the others.
00:27:35I wouldn't worry.
00:27:39We need to regain control of the ship.
00:27:41Options?
00:27:44We could flood the ship with anesthezine gas.
00:27:46No, that's been locked out with the rest of the command functions.
00:27:49If they're typical Ferengi, they're probably very pleased with themselves by now.
00:27:53Maybe even getting a little overconfident.
00:27:55Agreed, they might think they don't need as much of their crew to hold the ship.
00:28:00We could use the element of surprise to give us a tactical advantage.
00:28:03Tactical advantage?
00:28:06Jean-Luc, look at your team for a minute.
00:28:08We're children.
00:28:10We can't just stay here while our ship is being commandeered.
00:28:13I'm not suggesting that we do, but we can't act as if we were still adults.
00:28:18Well, what do you suggest we do?
00:28:20We look like children.
00:28:22Maybe it's time we started acting like children.
00:28:31Ahh... i hope your profit margin's pretty high for this little adventure, because you're risking war with the Federation.
00:28:43We're not affiliated with the Ferengi alliance.
00:28:46We are in business for ourselves.
00:28:52Yes, it will be highly profitable.
00:28:55For an investment of two surplus Klingon ships, a few repairs, and some weapons, we've netted a Federation starship and her crew, not to mention a planet rich in vendarite.
00:29:10So, that's what this is all about.
00:29:12What did you do with the science team that was on the surface?
00:29:15They've proved most, uh... helpful in extracting the mineral.
00:29:22You used them as slave laborers.
00:29:24The addition of your crew will greatly speed up the process.
00:29:32As for your ship...
00:29:35I'm sure that it will fetch a handsome price on the Romulan market.
00:29:41But before that can happen, we need to regain access to your central computer.
00:29:47You don't really think I'm going to help you.
00:29:50I think that the mines on Ligos VII can be very hazardous.
00:29:56Now... how many people on your ship?
00:30:001,014.
00:30:03Very hazardous, Commander.
00:30:12Hello, I'm the classroom computer system.
00:30:15What can I do for you today?
00:30:16Computer, display interior security grid.
00:30:19I'm sorry, but I can't do that.
00:30:23Would you like to play a game?
00:30:25No, I would not.
00:30:26Computer, display an internal schematic diagram.
00:30:29I'm sorry, but I can't do that.
00:30:32Would you like to see some interesting plants or animals?
00:30:37It's a child's computer, remember?
00:30:41Computer, can you show me a picture of the inside of the Enterprise?
00:30:45Yes, I can.
00:30:46The Enterprise is a galaxy-class starship.
00:30:49Do you know how to spell "Enterprise"?
00:30:52"E-N-T-E-R...
00:30:54Delete audio.
00:30:57All right, this'll have to do.
00:30:59We're here.
00:31:01There's a service conduit that runs to here and then leads to a Jefferies tube here.
00:31:07But you and Ensign Ro will still have to cross this corridor before you can get to Main Engineering.
00:31:15Captain!
00:31:22PICARD: Excellent.
00:31:24Ready?
00:31:26Make it so.
00:31:36What the devil...?
00:31:37I was just playing.
00:31:39I'm sorry, Captain.
00:31:59Alexander, would you mind if I borrowed your toy for a little while?
00:32:03Go ahead. Thank you.
00:32:13After you.
00:32:26( door opens )
00:32:30( electronic whirring )
00:33:08I've got the phasers, Captain.
00:33:34This is the first time these Jefferies tubes haven't seemed cramped.
00:33:37How much farther do we have to go?
00:33:40Oh, about 50 meters.
00:33:42Don't tell me you're tired.
00:33:43I'm not as young as I used to be.
00:33:46( both laughing )
00:34:40This is it-- Main Engineering.
00:34:44Now we wait.
00:34:49Report?
00:34:50Mission accomplished, sir.
00:34:52The one in Sick Bay never saw me.
00:34:54Very good.
00:35:00I'd say we're ready.
00:35:01Have you figured out how to get to the bridge?
00:35:06I'm afraid I can only think of one way.
00:35:14What do you want?
00:35:16I need to see my father.
00:35:17Go back inside.
00:35:19I need to see him right now.
00:35:20Do not argue with me.
00:35:22Go back inside.
00:35:23I need to see him now!
00:35:25Now! Now! Now! Now! Now! Now! Now! Now!
00:35:28Stop it! You hurt me!
00:35:29I want my father! I want my father!
00:35:32All right. Just stop that.
00:35:36PICARD: Let me go!
00:35:38Here he is.
00:35:40Now be quiet.
00:35:42What is going on?
00:35:43Dad!
00:35:53So, son, how are you?
00:35:56I'm okay.
00:35:57And how are your friends-- Keiko and Guinan and Ro?
00:36:00They're okay, too.
00:36:03But...
00:36:04What's wrong?
00:36:06Well, we don't have anything to do.
00:36:09None of the games are working.
00:36:12I know, the Ferengi made Daddy turn off the main computer.
00:36:17Well, can't you just turn on the kid's computer in Schoolroom Eight?
00:36:21We just want to play a few games.
00:36:24I don't know if they'll let me, Jean-Luc, but I will ask.
00:36:27Thanks, Number One.
00:36:33He's my number-one dad.
00:36:44CHILD 1: Here they come.
00:36:45CHILD 2: shh!
00:36:49( door closes ) How did it go?
00:36:53Did Commander Riker get the message?
00:36:55He understood.
00:36:59We should have access very soon.
00:37:12( door chimes )
00:37:14Come in.
00:37:19I understand your son was here to see you.
00:37:22That's right.
00:37:25We Ferengi do not bring our offspring along with us aboard ship.
00:37:29Then I suppose that's your loss.
00:37:31We consider our families one of our strengths.
00:37:34I think you will find that they can also be a weakness.
00:37:38Unless you release the computer to our control,
00:37:42I will execute every child on this ship, beginning with yours.
00:37:50Even you wouldn't be that cruel.
00:37:52It is cruel to put children in danger by bringing them aboard a starship in the first place.
00:37:57Ahh!
00:38:01All right... just so you don't harm my son.
00:38:08You will release the computer and show Morta exactly how to use it.
00:38:23Ahh...
00:38:32Computer, release command control, this station.
00:38:35Authorization: Riker omega three.
00:38:37Command functions restored.
00:38:40Okay, Morta... the Enterprise computer system is controlled by three primary main processor cores, cross-linked with a redundant melacortz ramistat
00:38:5114-kiloquad interface modules.
00:38:53The core element... is based on an FTL nanoprocessor with 25 bilateral kelilactirals, with 20 of those being slaved into the primary heisenfram terminal.
00:39:05Now, you do know what a bilateral kelilactiral is?
00:39:08Well, of course I do, human.
00:39:11I am not stupid.
00:39:14No. Of course not.
00:39:16This is the isopalavial interface, which controls the main firomactal drive unit.
00:39:21Don't touch that.
00:39:22You'll blow up the entire firomactal drive.
00:39:24Oh, uh, wh-what...? Wait... uh... what is a-- a firomactal drive?
00:39:31Well, just explain it to me.
00:39:35That is the firomactal drive unit.
00:39:38It controls the ramistat core and keeps the Ontarian manifold at 40,000 KRGs.
00:39:47The firomactal drive is powered by...
00:39:51Command lockout has been released.
00:39:55Accessing transporter.
00:39:58Weapons deactivation program is in place.
00:40:01Transporter security force field standing by.
00:40:03We're ready.
00:40:37Tag! You're it!
00:40:43( sighs )
00:40:47Yes?
00:40:49I found this in the schoolroom.
00:40:51Is it yours?
00:40:53Hmm...
00:41:14That's all of them except for the two on the bridge.
00:41:17Wait here until I return.
00:41:18Yes, sir.
00:41:21So, one more time, the ramistat kiloquad capacity is a function of the square root of the intermix ratio times the sum of the plasma injector quotient...
00:41:31Oh!
00:41:36( door chimes )
00:41:38Come in.
00:41:43I believe you're in my chair.
00:41:51Captain's Log, Stardate 46236.3.
00:41:54We have taken Lurin and his men into custody.
00:41:57The Ferengi Alliance has quickly disavowed
00:41:59any knowledge of these renegades.
00:42:01With the mining operation closed,
00:42:02and our crew back on board,
00:42:04we can now turn our attention
00:42:06to other problems.
00:42:07Phase inducers activated.
00:42:10Energy levels nominal.
00:42:12I'm loading the adult patterns into the buffer.
00:42:15Transposition matrix locked in.
00:42:19That should do it, Captain.
00:42:29Energize.
00:42:58How do you feel?
00:42:59I feel fine.
00:43:02Everything... seems a little smaller.
00:43:24It's my mother.
00:43:28The funny thing is,
00:43:29I never really drew a picture of her when I was young.
00:43:33It's just... for some reason, I wanted to now.
00:43:38Well, that's the wonderful thing about crayons.
00:43:41They can take you to more places than a starship.
00:43:48It's my turn, isn't it?
00:43:50Only if you're ready.
00:43:54It's not quite as bad as I remembered it.
00:43:58Being a child, I mean.
00:44:00Mmm.
00:44:04Well... we better get going.
00:44:08Well... what's the hurry?
00:44:12I mean, the transporter will still be there.
00:44:18Why don't you pass me the royal blue?
00:44:22Yeah. Thank you.
00:44:24Okay, we can use this one...
00:44:27Did you do this one, too?
00:44:28Uh-huh. I did all of them.
00:44:30Oh.
